FAQs
Yes! Tumble rugs do not use 'Velcro' or any other fastening materials to connect the rug to the rug pad. When desired, the rug can easily be removed from the pad, washed, and placed right back.
Our intention is to accurately depict the true color in all our online photos; however, some colors may slightly vary across different pictures. The product photos (on white background) will most accurately reflect the rug's true colors. The “View it in your room” (augmented reality) and Lifestyle photos (including Social Media) should not be used for assessing colors.
Yes, if you are an existing Tumble customer you can order additional rugs for use with your Tumble Rug Pad. In order to do so, please email us at hello@tumbleliving.com with your rug selection.
Our rugs are coated with a water-based solution that is commonly used in medical and outdoor clothing. This coating helps separate the oils, stains, or liquids from the fabric, preventing any absorption.
We pride ourselves on our high standards and rigorous testing. Our rugs and pads are tested in accordance with US safety standards and California's Prop 65 at a CPSC approved testing laboratory. Our rugs and pads have been tested for harmful chemicals such as PFCs (including PFOA and PFOS, which are found in waterproof coatings), VOCs, BPAs, common heavy metals such as Lead & Cadmium, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Formamide, and Dichloromethane (found in other washable rugs).
The spillproof effect will begin to diminish after washing, however this will vary based on multiple factors (e.g., detergent, wash cycle, humidity etc.) The spillproof coating is meant to serve as a "first line of defense", however the rug can always be washed to remove spills and stains.
Yes, you can vacuum your Tumble on the lowest setting (without use of a beater brush). Avoid vacuuming the sewn edges of the rug.
We don't recommend using autonomous robot vacuums as they've been known to damage the rug's edges.

I have a senior dog with negative bladder space, so we knew without a doubt there would be a pee puddle on night 1. The rug stands up beautifully! We've had no less than 7 accidents in the first week and each one is completely undetectable. Using paper towels or a pee pad we blot and soak up the liquid. I gave the spots a sniff after blotting with medium-firm pressure and couldn't even SMELL pee, let alone see or feel it. Real miracle stuff going on at Tumble. Also passed the wet dirt test with my 3 yo torpedo Pittie, she runs and slides into home base with muddy paws from outside, and again with firm blotting the stains come right up no problem. I haven't even needed to wash yet after all of the 1st week's abuse, it's still in brand new condition albeit with more dog hair than it arrived with.

I have this right and also one from another washable rug company, and this one is superior in avoiding stains! I’ve only had it a week but my dog already peed on it, and the liquid pooled on the surface without sinking in. So easy to clean!!

This rug is even more attractive "in person" than it is online. The colors are very natural looking and it pulls together the various browns, creams, terracotta, and black colors in this room. With the included pad (which is such a great innovation), it is the perfect thickness.

I love my Tumble rugs! The Paloma - Red/Multi is a nice, subtle color scheme and it goes well with my larger Paloma - Ivory/Terracotta. Personally, I would consider the "red" in this one to be more of a "Terracotta" or maybe a "brick red", which I absolutely love! I have kind of an eclectic mix of farmhouse/antique/tribal themes and it goes nicely with all of my decor. The rug stays in place very well, even being by the door where the dogs go in and out several times per day. I haven't washed it yet, but am excited to be able to do that easily. We have hard floors throughout our whole home so I have several rugs. I can't wait to replace all of them with Tumble rugs!

We got this rug for our baby nursery and couldn’t be more in love. It’s the perfect pop of color. The pad is comfy - the fabric is soft even though it’s spill proof and we want tumble rugs all over our house now!

We have this rug in our kids play room! Between a toddler, a baby, two dogs and a cat we sure can make a mess! Mud, snacks, baby puke, milk, juice- you name it! Everything cleans right off. We are definitely planning to purchase another tumble rug!

I love my Tumble rugs! The Paloma - Ivory/Terracotta is a nice, subtle color scheme and it goes well with my smaller Paloma - Red/Multi. The "Terracotta" in this one is more subdued, kind of a pale salmon orange, which I absolutely love! I have an eclectic mix of farmhouse/antique/tribal themes and it goes nicely with all of my decor. The rug stays in place very well, this one is in our livingroom, so it sees plenty of traffic. The kids love how comfy it is to lay on and play with the dogs. I haven't washed it yet, but am excited to be able to do that easily. We have hard floors throughout our whole home so I have several rugs. I can't wait to replace all of them with Tumble rugs!
