Yes, if you are an existing Tumble customer you can order additional rugs for use with your Tumble Rug Pad. In order to do so, please email us at hello@tumbleliving.com with your rug selection.
Our rugs are coated with a water-based solution that is commonly used in medical and outdoor clothing. This coating helps separate the oils, stains, or liquids from the fabric, preventing any absorption.
Tumble Rugs are tested in accordance with US safety standards and California’s Prop 65 at a CPSC approved testing laboratory. Our rugs have been tested for harmful chemicals such as PFCs (including PFOA and PFOS, which are commonly found in waterproof coatings), VOCs, Lead, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Formamide, and Dichloromethane (commonly found in other washable rugs).

The spillproof coating is not visible and cannot be felt. Our rug’s surface is soft to the touch.
The rug is made of 100% polyester chenille with a water-based spillproof protective barrier and a polyester knit backing.
The rug pad is made of a combination of non-toxic EVA foam and thermoplastic resin (a non-toxic latex-free and rubber-free material), which prevents the rug from slipping.
Our rug pad is 1/4 inch thick which provides for a soft, cushy feel.
Yes, our ¼ inch thick rug and pad fits comfortably underneath most standard doorways, which are ½ to ¾ inches high.
Our Rug Pads are specifically designed to be slightly smaller than our Rugs in case the Rug mildly shrinks after drying (shrinkage). In case of shrinkage, the Rug Pad will remain out of view.
Our rug’s low pile surface prevents the collection of dust and pet hair. In addition, you can easily clean your rug by removing it from the pad and putting it in your washer. Our Rug Pad comes in individual pieces that can be wiped down with soap and water.
Lastly, Tumble rugs have been tested for harmful chemicals such as PFCs, VOCs, Lead, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Formamide, and Dichloromethane.
As cat owners/lovers ourselves, we have found that cats are attracted to rugs with a high pile or rough fibers like jute. Our rugs are made with a polyester chenille that has a very low pile height and is soft to the touch. Our rug pad’s rubberized top prevents damage from pets' scratching.
Our rug pads are latex-free and contain thermoplastic resin, making them safe for use on most LVP, Laminate, and hardwood floors. However, we recommend double-checking with the flooring manufacturer to ensure that your flooring is compatible with this material. Please note that floor coverings of any kind may cause discoloration if placed for a prolonged period of time in an area with direct sunlight.
Tumble rugs are best suited for hard (non-carpeted) floors. We do not recommend using on a carpet.
No. A Tumble Rug is not designed for use on the stairs. Tumble Rugs are meant to be used on a flat, hard surface.

Shipping in a box not only saves you money but it offers the best customer experience: you can easily move them, unpack them, and even repack them should you ever need to move.
Folding the rugs will not damage them although it may temporarily crease them The fibers will eventually resume their position within a few days of unfolding.

No. We do not recommend using bleach or fabric softener.
There is no limit to the number of washes; however, as with any washable product, excessive washing with harsh detergents may begin to damage the polyester fibers.
The spillproof effect will begin to diminish after washing, however this will vary based on multiple factors (e.g., detergent, wash cycle, humidity etc.) The spillproof coating is meant to serve as a "first line of defense", however the rug can always be washed to remove spills and stains.
We don't recommend using autonomous robot vacuums as they've been known to damage the rug's edges.

Determine where you want to place the rug and clear the space entirely. Once you set up the rug page, it will be very difficult to move!

Place each pad piece in its intended spot. Refer to the diagrams of our 8x10’ and 5x7’ Rug Pads below (after Step #6).

Connect each piece by aligning the interlocking teeth and gently patting them down unit the teeth are flush. Apply a little force if necessary.

Place the rug onto the pad and tuck each corner of the pad into the pockets on the underside of the rug.

Center the rug on the pad and smooth out any wrinkles. Any creases should relex within a week. If neccessary, iron out the creases on the lowest setting. Note: The rug should be larger then the pad and will shrink slighty after washing.

After the rug is smoothed out and before the furniture is placed on the rug, gently pull the rug tight and apply the Corner Grippers. See instructions on the Corner Gripper pack for additional details.

8x10’ Rug Pad

5x7’ Rug Pad
The Tumble Rug stays in place due to two key innovations: 1) our Rug Pad has a grippy, rubberized top which helps to keep the rug from slipping around 2) our Rug has pockets on the underside of each corner. The Rug Pad tucks into these corner pockets to keep the rug in place.
Our patent-pending technology is the first of its kind. The Tumble Rug Pad tucks directly into corner pockets on the underside of the Rug, ensuring that the Rug lays flat on the ground and remains in place. Furthermore, the corner pockets prevent the corners of the Rug from curling.
